Viscosity and visco-temperature characteristics: viscosity is the main index of anti-wear hydraulic oil, which has an important effect on the smooth operation of the system. If the viscosity is too small, the lubricating surface is prone to wear, so that the internal and external leakage of the hydraulic components increases, the pump volume efficiency decreases, and the oil temperature rises. When the viscosity is too large, the pump suction is difficult, the energy loss in the flow process increases, the heating of the system increases, and the oil temperature also rises. Therefore, it must have the right viscosity. In most cases, anti-wear hydraulic oil is generally used at 40℃ kinematic viscosity 11.0-60.0mm2/s.

 

1. Because the construction machinery generally works in the open air, the oil temperature changes with the temperature, so in order to ensure the stable work of the hydraulic system, the greater the viscosity index of the oil, the better. Generally, the viscosity index of anti-wear hydraulic oil is not less than 90, and the low temperature hydraulic oil is not less than 130.

 

2. Low temperature: The low temperature of hydraulic oil includes three aspects: 1) low temperature fluidity. 2) Low temperature starting ability. 3) Low temperature pumping. The latter two properties are mainly related to the low temperature viscosity of the oil. Therefore, the manufacturers of various hydraulic pumps have stipulated the lowest cold start viscosity of the hydraulic oil used for the hydraulic pump.

 

3. Oxidation stability: hydraulic oil is required to have good oxidation stability, in order to reduce the adverse impact of oxidation deterioration forming acid and sediment on hydraulic equipment, and extend the oil change period. It is usually required that the acid value reaches 2mgKOH/g for no less than 100h.

 

4. Rust resistance and corrosion resistance: the hydraulic system in the operation process, inevitably mixed with some air and water, these air and water will cause corrosion of the metal surface, affect the accuracy of the hydraulic components. 6. Shear stability: under high pressure and high speed working conditions, the anti-wear hydraulic oil, through the pump, valve, microhole and other systems, subjected to intense shear action, resulting in the oil viscosity index improver molecules broken chain, oil viscosity decreases, when the viscosity of the oil decreases to a certain degree, it can not continue to use. Therefore, the hydraulic oil is required to have good shear stability.

 

7. Emulsification and hydrolysis stability: in the hydraulic system work has been mixed with water oil, in the regulation device, pump and other components of the intense agitation, it is easy to form emulsion with water, thus destroying the original properties of the oil, hydraulic components rust, and abrasive wear and other adverse consequences, so the hydraulic oil is required to have good emulsification and hydrolysis stability.

 

8. Bubble property and air release property: Foam resistance and air release property is one of the important performance of anti-wear hydraulic oil. The anti-wear hydraulic oil mixed with air will reduce the efficiency of the system and deteriorate the lubrication condition. In addition, it will cause the drive system pressure is insufficient and the transmission response is slow soft operation. In severe cases, abnormal noise, cavitation, vibration, and even damage equipment are produced. The main performance is high precision, small pump clearance and complex control components. The test proves that as long as there are small impurity particles will cause equipment wear and failure. Therefore, in the hydraulic system, the filter is installed and the hydraulic oil is required to have good filterability.

 

10. With elastic seal, paint and other non-metallic materials and metal materials have good adaptability: adaptability refers to the hydraulic oil on its contact with a variety of metal materials, non-metallic materials such as rubber, paint, plastic and other non-corrosive effect.
