Hydraulic Transmission Oil 6#

Hydraulic transmission oil, also known as automatic transmission oil (ATF) or automatic transmission oil, is used as the working medium in the vehicle automatic transmission composed of hydraulic torque converter, hydraulic coupler and mechanical transmission, and plays the role of transferring energy with the kinetic energy of liquid.

Performance requirements of hydraulic transmission oil:

1. Viscosity: to the typical hydraulic transmission oil, the use of temperature range is about -25°C~170°C, the oil is required to have a high viscosity index and low freezing point, the general specifications of the viscosity index is above 170, pour point is -40°C, synthetic oil is 190°C and -50°C.

2. Thermal oxidation stability: the temperature of the hydraulic transmission oil varies with the driving conditions of the car. Oil temperature rise and oxidation generated sludge, paint film, etc., make the hydraulic system work abnormal, lubrication performance deterioration, metal corrosion.

3. Shear stability: When the hydraulic transmission oil transfers power in the hydraulic torque converter, it will be subjected to strong shear force, which causes the fracture of polymer compounds such as viscosity index improvers in the oil, so that the viscosity of the oil is reduced, the oil pressure drops, and finally leads to the clutch slip.

4. Anti-foam performance: After foam is mixed into hydraulic transmission oil, oil pressure will be reduced, leading to clutch slip-on, sintering and other accidents.

5. Friction characteristics: automatic transmission fluid requires a matching static friction coefficient and dynamic friction coefficient, in order to adapt to the clutch shift on the friction coefficient of different requirements.
